Improve tool hardness and wear resistance


Spraying cemented carbide coating: In the process of operation, agricultural knives are often in contact with soil, crop rhizomes and other substances with a certain hardness and friction, and are prone to wear. Tungsten carbide and other tungsten carbide coatings can be applied to the surface of the tool by thermal spray technology, which can significantly improve the surface hardness of the tool. For example, when a tungsten carbide coating is applied to the surface of the coulter, the wear resistance is 2 to 3 times higher than that of an uncoulter, which greatly extends the life of the coulter in soil tillage, reduces the frequency of replacement, and improves agricultural productivity.
Application of ceramic coating: Ceramic materials have high hardness, high wear resistance and good chemical stability. Thermal spraying of ceramic coatings such as alumina and silicon nitride on the cutting blades of harvesters can keep the blades sharp when cutting crops and reduce wear. Experiments have shown that the wearing of a ceramic-coated cutting blade is only 1/3 - 1/2 of that of an ordinary blade when harvesting the same area of crops, effectively reducing the cost of tool loss.

Enhance the corrosion resistance of the tool


Metal anti-corrosion coating: The agricultural production environment is relatively complex, and the knives are often exposed to corrosive substances such as moisture, acid and alkali. Thermal spraying of zinc, aluminum and other metal coatings can form a dense protective layer on the surface of the tool to isolate the corrosive medium. For example, spraying zinc-aluminum coating on orchard pruning knives can effectively prevent the knives from rusting and corroding in the humid orchard environment, extending the service life of the knives by 1-2 years, and ensuring the performance and service life of the knives.
Protection of composite coating: The thermal spray coating of metal and ceramic composite can further improve the corrosion resistance and comprehensive performance of the tool. For example, on some knives used to process organic fertilizers, spraying aluminum-based ceramic composite coatings can not only resist the corrosion of acid and alkali components in fertilizers, but also withstand certain mechanical wear, so that the tools can maintain good performance in harsh working environments.

Improves the thermal stability of the tool


High temperature resistant coating: In some agricultural knives that rotate at high speed or operate continuously for a long time, a lot of heat will be generated due to friction, which will affect the performance and life of the tool. Thermal spraying of high-temperature-resistant cermet coatings, such as nickel-chromium-aluminum-yttrium coatings, improves the thermal stability of the tool. After spraying this kind of coating on the straw crushing tool, the cutter can still maintain good mechanical properties in a high temperature environment, and is not easy to deform and soften, which ensures the normal progress of the crushing operation.
The function of the thermal barrier coating: The thermal barrier coating can effectively reduce the temperature of the tool substrate. On some agricultural processing tools that require high temperature treatment, such as tools used for drying, thermal cutting, etc., the thermal barrier coating can block the heat on the surface of the tool, reduce the temperature of the tool matrix by 50 - 100°C, prolong the service life of the tool, and improve the machining quality.
